About Me

Bobby Trefz has been passionate about drawing from a young age. Although he has since traded in his Crayola Crayons for a tattoo machine, his passion for the craft doesn't waver after 28 years in the industry. Originally from New Jersey himself, Bobby has worked at a plethora of shops around New Jersey and Pennsylvania, most recently working at Art Machine Productions for the last 8 years.

Bobby specializes in new school tattoos and black-and-grey realism but is dedicated to collaborating with clients to find what fits them best. Follow Bobby on Instagram @bobbytrefztattoo. You can complete the appointment form (or) text 215-821-6240 to book your appointment today.

Aftercare

Second Skin

Leave your bandage on until that evening. Clean well with warm soapy water. Pat dry with a clean towel or paper towel. Let the tattoo air dry for about 10 minutes.

Peel off the white backing of the second skin and place on the tattoo leaving about an inch border around the tattoo. Peel off the top layer starting at the blue layer of the second skin.

Leave second skin on for 4 to 5 nights.

The second skin is water resistant but not waterproof. Keep it as dry as possible while healing. Remove the second skin on the morning of the fourth or fifth day.

Wash well and apply Curel (white and unscented) as needed after you remove it.

Do not pick or scratch your tattoo. Do not soak or submerge in water for two weeks. Keep out of direct sunlight for at least two weeks.

Feel free to reach out with any additional aftercare questions.

Regular

Leave bandage on for 2-3 hours or as instructed.

Wash your hands well with soap before touching your new tattoo.

After the bandage is removed, wash your tattoo with fragrance-free soap. Remove all warm water and a mild fragrance-free soap. Remove all existing vaseline, plasma/excess ink with your fingertips gently. Do not use anything abrasive to clean your new tattoo.

Rinse and pat dry with a disposable paper towel or let air dry.

Wash your tattoo twice a day (morning and night) until your tattoo is completely healed. Do not over-wash. Regular showering is fine. Do not submerge the tattoo for extended amounts of time (including baths and swimming).

Over the next few days, the tattoo will become flaky, dry, and tight. Use Curel (white and unscented) 1-2 times a day sparingly. Rub Curel in until fully absorbed and be careful not to over moisturize.

A scab forming may be the color of the ink but does not mean the ink is going to fall out. Leave the scabs on and let them fall off naturally, be careful not to pick or scratch at the area.

The tattoo may appear dull until fully healed, this is normal and will go away after a few weeks. Wear loose-fitting clothing over the area.
